From the studio to the stage: let your soul shine in Brussels

What if the start of the school year were the perfect time to reignite your creativity? The Collectif Supplément d’Âme is resuming its workshops and open-mic nights in Brussels: writing, poetry, singing, acting, and experimental theater. Whether you’re an experienced artist, a beginner, or simply curious, there’s a place for everyone to create, share, and take the stage…

What if it were time to take the stage?

Workshops to unleash your voice, your writing, and your creativity

The Collectif Supplément d’Âme offers spaces to explore your creativity, refine your skills, and gradually find your own way of expressing yourself. Here, you don’t need to arrive with a fully developed project—all you need is the desire to experiment.

With Poézik, words become material to explore. The workshop invites participants to write, experiment with different poetic forms, and then work on delivery, rhythm, and interpretation. Sing & Shine, meanwhile, is designed for singers who want to develop their voice, musicality, and stage presence in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Both formats provide opportunities to practice, receive feedback, and, above all, gradually build confidence. It’s a way to expand your artistic horizons while sharing the journey with others who, like you, are seeking to create and take risks.

Then comes the time to take the stage

After exploration comes, naturally, the desire to share. The open mic nights hosted by the Collectif Supplément d’Âme offer a space to move from creation to connecting with an audience, in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Take the Mic is an open mic night where singers, poets, and musicians can perform an original piece or a cover song. Each artist brings their own unique style and accompaniment: a soundtrack, an instrument, or just their voice.

The Golden Sessions offer a different experience: the chance to perform with a professional musician. Singers can perform songs from the suggested repertoire, while poets can explore how their texts interact with live music.

Members of the Collectif Supplément d’Âme and guest artists gathered for a “Take the Mic” event at the Orangerie of De Ultieme Hallucinatie in Brussels.

What if now were the time to take a chance?

A piece of writing in a notebook, a song still in the works, a desire to take the stage… Sometimes all it takes is that first step to let your world resonate in a whole new way.

With Poézik, Sing & Shine, Golden Sessions, and Take the Mic, the Collectif Supplément d’Âme creates spaces to experiment, grow, meet other artists, and, above all, dare to share what inspires us.

Open mic nights take place once a month on Saturday afternoons at De Ultieme Hallucinatie, in the Orangerie, the venue’s brasserie space: a setting where the stage and the audience come together in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
