THE WIDOWS' GARDEN

STEP INTO A
MYSTERIOUS AND MELANCHOLY WORLD

The Widows' Garden invites you to stroll through a garden of melancholy, solitude and gentleness.

An inner sanctuary where time seems to stand still, where flowers wither and time freezes.

For Charlotte Vedovatto, painting has long been a way of creating worlds and taking refuge within them.

Inspired by the landscapes of prints and Venetian Baroque art, her oil paintings blend nature, figures and memories.

The garden thus becomes an intimate, sombre space blending beauty and fragility.

And behind these ‘widows’ lies a name: Vedovatto, whose Venetian roots evoke ‘la vedova’, the Widow.
